Typically 3.2mm wire is used for both residential and commercial balustrade applications.

When hand swaging using a Hand Swaging Tool (hand swaged balustrade kits) to create a loop at the end of the wire using a combination of a Thimble and Ferrule 7x7 wire is used. 7x7 wire is flexible and can easily be wrapped by hand around the thimble.

When hydraulic swaging (our pre-swaged kits) when the wire is inserted into the fitting and a hydraulic tool used to press the fitting onto the wire 1x19 wire is used.
